A bedroom at the Lesters' house is richly decorated with luxurious examples of the unusual textures and colours of their silks and velvets for which these designers have become internationally recognised. The finely hand knitted table cloth was made by Patricia's mother, taking many months to complete - a very special and valued treasure.

Charles and Patricia demonstrate in this bedroom that it is possible to achieve an unusual decorative look with extravagant textiles - so comfortable and luxurious that their dog just could not resist enjoying the luxury. The hand pleated drapes at the head of the bed are made of silk that has been hand painted in the shades and shadows that an artist would use in painting a canvas, thus achieving a depth, luxury and richness that enhances the iridescent quality of the drapes. The bedcover was made from plain antique velvet which they painted and hand printed to give a rich antique look. The Lesters collect antique textiles and these are mixed in with their own unique cushions made of the pleated silk, luxurious velvets and satins - all painted and printed in a great variety of designs and colours. The Lesters are perfectly happy to work with you and your interior decorator to produce fabrics, throws, curtains and cushions specifically to give your home that unique luxurious look.
