Silk and velvet evening dress

This elegant long velvet evening dress is a wonderful empire line gown that would make a dramatic entrance at a formal party. The tiny bodice is made from hand painted and hand pleated silk with strong bands of beading around the neckline and under the bust. The full bias skirt is in a richly painted and printed velvet. The colour of this gown is inspired by the wonderful blue colours that you might see on a beautifully painted icon. The print is an all over design, in a metallic gold.
