The Designer Plus Size Dresses and Gowns Collection.

This luxury and elegant designer plus size clothing collection is designed for those who are not made in moulds! They are unique designs, outfits, dresses and gowns, for those with a full figure who want their plus size needs catered for without being relegated to a store basement. Charles and Patricia recognise that people not only have different measurements, but they are also different shapes. A plus size woman needs to feel that she is a glamorous woman just as her smaller sized contemporaries can be glamorous. We are plagued with words like chunky, chubby, big and beautiful, rubenesque, statuesque lady, generous proportions, bonny girl, we are constantly bombarded with images of what we have been convinced are the normal shapes - yet in reality we are the normal in our variety. The models that show clothes on the catwalk, the news-readers on television, the film world superstars and pop music world icons are the unusual. Such images feed our complexes and blind us and indeed others to the glorious variety that the human form comes in.

To accommodate this infinite variety of shapes and sizes the queensize designer collection is shown as part of a comprehensive collection of outfits for everyone, so that friends shopping together will find something that suits their own very specific personal needs and there is something for 'my thin friend' or 'my curvaceous girl friend'. There are combinations of shapes and styles that flatter the perceived good points and cunningly disguise the areas of anxiety for all sizes. There are garments that suit everyone and there are some that need a specific shape to show the garment at its best - a larger sized girl often being more suitable for a certain shaped garment than her smaller friend. This unique luxurious collection includes women's plus size special occasion gowns, cruise and day wear dresses, romantic plus size wedding gowns, and plus size evening wear outfits in the same variety and quality as the rest of the collection.

The plus size woman and our designer fashion collection.

This plus size fashion collection of dresses and gowns is designed for people who are aesthetically orientated, who as individual personalities can decide what outfits they want to wear rather than what should be worn as dictated by others. However sometimes it takes courage for a larger girl, unless she is a plus size model, to actually try something on that is very different from anything else in her wardrobe. Not enough time is given to getting to know the new person that is reflected in the mirror. When people come to the studios in Wales, Patricia makes a point of saying: 'give yourself plenty of time - there is no hurry - just try things on and try to look at yourself as a different person - we can only guide - you have to be convinced'. Too often dainty little shop assistants hover and make comments when the customer really needs that time to herself to analyse whether she needs a generous sized garment or whether for her shape she just needs a larger size. She needs to know too whether this new person will fit in with the rest of her life.

The largest collection is to be found at the studios in Wales where the designer and the team can give individual attention. The enormous variety of colours, shape combinations of outfits,dresses and gowns can be played with, in a private, intimate and informal atmosphere and a couture collection conjured out of a Pandora's box of treasures. Liberty in London also carry an extensive collection in their Plus Size Department at the store in Knightsbridge.

There are a few very special stores around the world that carry the collection including London, New York. Details can be sent on request as well as details of personal shoppers who have a selection of garments. These personal shoppers are in London, and California USA.

Formal Outfit Plus Size Dress and Coat.

We are only a small company that produces, as part of our collection, couture dresses, bridal gowns, evening and day wear for the plus size woman. We create everything in house from the dyeing to the finished garment. Our web site is also being created by ourselves and all the photographs are taken by us.

The majority of garments shown on this site are just as suitable for the woman with a fuller figure as the petite woman. If you know of any shops or boutiques that are suitable for our plus size collection we would love to hear from you.

The plus size collection of dresses, gowns and coats is currently to be found in our Design Studios in Abergavenny, South Wales. Abergavenny is very easily reached with good links to the Midlands and the North of England via the M6, M5 and M50 past Ross on Wye and Monmouth . From the South West, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester, Avon, Gloucetershire and Somerset via the M4 we are only thirty miles from the Severn Bridge. Mid and South Wales the journey could not be easier as the studios are only a few hundred yards from the A40 from Brecon, Llandeilo and Llandovery. West and mid Wales towns such as Builth Wells, Newtown and Llandrindod Wells are a short scenic drive through some of the most picturesque scenerry in Wales.
